As a child and a young adult, I didn't believe it. I grew faster than I needed to and still I didn't believe it, then I graduated college, got married and had a baby....it was THEN that I knew; "Mi mama, she really does know best!"
Sad that it's taken me so long to realize my mom does know best...that doesn't mean she is always right and we often disagree but in the end my mom's advice, love and persistence...it's been what keeps me alive and moving forward! She has been there and at times, I have been there for her.
I love my Mother VERY much and appreciate all that she has done, sacrificed and gone through to raise her four children. We are now 29, 26, almost 24 and 15, but we are still her children.
I hope and pray that Santiago will be as accepting and receptive to our advice and counsel and realize that if we speak of it, it truly is from experience as, hard as it may be for him to accept it.
Why this post? Don't know.
But, this morning, I prayed over my son for about an hour, holding him and praying that he is kept safe and healthy. Praying that when I tell him; "don't run", "listen to me" and "hold my hand" that he will listen and realize that EVERYTHING I do is BECAUSE I LOVE HIM. I want to protect him and I do KNOW what's best for him.
Dear Heavenly Father,Protect my son, keep him safe from harm andremind him that we love him very much in everything that we
say and do.Amen.
